Calculation Methodology

The calculator starts from monthly active users, daily active ratio, sessions, page views, database operations, API calls, storage, downloads, and optional AI or voice usage. These inputs are converted into monthly activity estimates.

The same usage pattern is compared across Firebase-first, Cloud Run with Firestore, Cloud Run with Cloud SQL, and self-managed VM options. The recommendation favors the architecture that fits the data shape, feature set, and cost risk profile.

The model intentionally simplifies pricing. It may not include every regional price, committed discount, free tier edge case, network path, cache behavior, or operational cost. Always confirm important decisions with official tools and live monitoring.
